Inspired by the French, this late 18th Century costume is a magnificently detailed replica of gowns worn in Britain during the reigh of King George III.

     The elaborate gown features a dainty off-the-shoulder neckline edged in pearls. The tiny crtochet scallop pattern creates swirls over the tightly fitted bodice. Designed with a drop waist, the bodice closes with miniature buttons and buttonhole loops at the back. The short overskirt is draped with soft layers of lace for a fashionable, wide-hipped Marie Antoinette look.

     Ribbons, roses and frills complete the luscious look.

     For added authenticity, the doll’s hair has been reaslistically created in the French wig hairstyle. The extravagant hat is lovingly created with lace frills and feathers embellish the trim.

     In her hand she carries a dainty pearl edged masquerade mask.
