Half-fill a decorative glass bowl with water and carefully float the flowers and small nasturtium leaves, add these to the bowl as well. You should aim to cover the entire surface of the water. The candles will not bur for very long, so do not light them until your guests are ready to sit down and eat. If nasturtiums are not available, use marigold or borage flowers or a variety of green herb leaves. Alternatively, place a small bowl by each place setting and decorate with a single candle and a few leaves. However, be sure to position them where guests will not catch their sleeves on the flame. |
